Young Leaders
We have a number of young leaders who assist with the running of our meetings.
They are often Explorers age 14 to 18. It helps us enormously with the smooth running of activities, but it also benefits their development as young adults. They often choose to volunteer to help with their Duke of Edinburgh awards.
We have 4 sections

Membership Fee
We ask for a contribution of £30 per term and this covers all of our running costs for meeting activities. For camps and specially organised trips, we will ask parents for a separate contribution to cover costs.
We don’t like to see our young people go without, so if you have trouble paying, let us know and we can come to an arrangement.
The Ranch is within the Chiswick House and Gardens car park alongside the A4, backing onto Park Sports. We have been based here since 1952, but the Group has been operating since 1932!
We started in a classroom at Belmont School, moved to the playground in The Ranch. When the Council wanted the playground back they gave us our present site at a peppercorn rent of £1 p.a. Parents of the Scout Group moved the building by hand from Belmont Rd to its present location. Later the kitchen areas were added, then the Leaders room and what are now store rooms and lastly the canopy over the backdoor.
